How we handle questions

We publish a first name and a region. Never a surname, never a photo, never anything that identifies you.
We won’t answer a question about your own health. If one arrives, we’ll answer the general mechanism behind it instead, say plainly that we’ve done so, and point you somewhere better.
No question becomes an advert. If the honest answer is that a thing doesn’t work, that’s the answer you get.
The Lab talks about chemicals and processes, not brands — so we can’t tell you whether a particular product is any good, only what the thing inside it does.
“We don’t know” is a real answer and we publish it.
